With its head office based in Barrie, the Municipal has over 20 branches in Ontario which employ more than 400 people. They serve over 68,000 govern- ment insured depositors who have $202 million in savings and term deposit receipts and $413 million in Investment Certificates with the Corporation. A new branch is scheduled to open in Kingston early in November and five new branches are scheduled for 1988 in various other towns in Ontario. the municipal Savings & loan corporation Unlike branch managers in the larger financial com- panies who move every few years, the Municipal branch managers are encouraged to become involv- ed with their communities and to establish roots in their '"'Home" towns. All branches provide a customer area, where a relax- ing corner and reading material is provided. Also last year both Midland branches held a '"'customer ap- preciation" evening at which their customers and other community leaders had an opportunity to meet with Municipal's senior managers and directors. Midland has two branches of the Municipal, downtown at 248 King Street, with Fred Emmons, investment certificates manager and at the Mountainview Mall with Marie Bell, manager. At the present time the Municipal offers the best banking hours in town with six day banking available: Downtown branch: Mon. - Thurs. - 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.; Fri. - 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.; Sat. 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Mountainview Mall: Mon. - Thurs. - 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.; Fri. - 9:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.; Sat. - 9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. For all of your banking needs, drop into the Municipal for fast and friendly service.
