She says the lectures (which usually include a lunch) "help to provide better social services all around"' because the various groups involved can see where the real needs are. Kytayko only moved to the Huronia area in August when she started her new job as Contact's area representative. Previously, she had designed and ad- ministered a mental health program in Oakville, Ont Last year, Contact receiv- ed 13,500 calls from people in the Midland-Penetang 'for four area who needed some kind of help. "If we can't help them directly, then we can tell them where they can Call-to receive help," Kytayko says. Although Contact has had an office in Midland years now, Kytayko says the organiza- tion's existence is still unknown to many people. | "A lot of people just walk in and say, 'Oh, this must be new.'
