The first franchise store was opened in Cookstown in 1973 and to date there are a total of ten stores in Ontario. It started out basically as a consignment store but now carry both new and used products. The Midland store, which only carries new items, was opened in July of this year. Store owner, Glen- da Newland says, "| found a large number of Midland area people were shopping in my Orillia store so | decided to bring my type of business to them. There was also a. need for an exclusive children's store in the Midland area."'
