State mE PBR DRGs Bei aaa acta 'Contracting bus cheaper: town After hearing the result of an investigation, the Midland public works committee has decided that contracting bus ser- vice is desirable. Public works general manager Ken Cave was directed to investigate whether the town might run its transit service itself at less cost, using its employees. Of the 19 municipalities with 25,000 or fewer peo- ple surveyed, only four run their own bus service, Cave reported. In each case, the cost is higher than Midland's cost of paying a company to provide the service. The bus operation con- tract, which expires later this year, will be offered for bid. Queen's Cove Queen's Cove Marina has begun to offer the Nissan line of outboard motors. The Nissan line of 3.5 to 70 horsepower motors became available in Canada in January, 1986. Nissan sells 63 models in 14 different horsepower sizes. A limited two-year war- ranty covers motors used both for pleasure and com- merce. Most warranties for commercial use are six months to 12 months, C-5 Nissan's man gadds outboards district sales manager, out- board moror department, Terry Slater said. Among the associated items offered by Nissan is an approved 25 litre plastic gas tank. Other gas tanks are made of non- galvanized steel, Slater said. An electric starter alter- nator is a standard feature of Nissan engines. Nissan also. sells lifejackets, lubricants, oils, grease, and interior engine cleaner. N Nissan's man for outboard motors in this area, Terry Slater, was present Friday through Sunday at Queen's Cove Marina, Victoria Harbour. Queen's Cove has begun to carry the line of Nissan outboard motors, which range in size from 3.5 to 70 horsepower. Boat owners have a choice of 63 models of Nissan outboard motor. Each motor comes with a two-year limited war- ranty, whether the motor is used for business or pleasure.
