MMHA House League ends Smith's Mobile nipped Wye Heritage 4-3 to gain the Midland Houseleague Hockey bantam champion- ship Saturday at Centen- nial Arena. On the final day of play the other championships were taken by Midland Times in the Peewees; Royal Lepage in Atoms; Bike Shop in Novice; and Bertram Fuels in Major Tykes. In the mini-tykes final game it was Meatland - Stonleigh coming out on top. Gary Puddicombe led Smith's Mobile scoring with two while Jeff Mayer and Joel Heins added singles. Wye Heritage got a pair from Richard Bianco and a single from Neil Snowden. In the bantam consola- tion final, Wye Heritage blanked Free Press 2-0 with goals from Richard Bianco and Dennis Quesnelle. Midland Times got two goals from each of Mike Besley and Sean Lavin as well as solos from Spencer Warren and Terry Walten- bury to defeat Midland eos de the Lead This young swimmer reaches the end of the pool at the Bell Canada Invitational Swim Meet held Sunday at the Midland YMCA pool. In atom consolation, Realty World clipped Midland IGA 3-2 with a hat-trick effort from Sean Brooks. Kevin Lunnie and Jeremy Bruhn answered for IGA. Bike Shop got five first period goals from Chad Taylor, who scored twice, Ryan Smith, Cory Bath and Richard Quesnelle who notched one marker each. The Dynasty Inn goal came from Adam Desroches. Bourgeois Motors re- bounded from a 2-0 deficit took part in the day-long event hosted by in the novice consolation to defeat Mr. Submarine 4-3. Aaron Dorion scored three times for Bourgeois while Brendon macKell got the single. Corby Lesperance, Bob Richard- son and Chris White scored one each. Bertram's got two from Jeff Linka and one from Joshua Marion to defeat Meatland 3-2. Rory Levechia netted a pair for Meatland. In Major tyke consola- tion, Daryl McGibbon came through with four goals to lead Jory's IDA over Stonleigh Motors 6-2. Adam Rumney and Doug Reid got the other Jory's tallies. Ryan Cameron and Anthony Lalonde scored for Stoneleigh. In the mini-tyke final Meatland-Stoneleigh over- . powered Bertram-Jory 10-0. Kris Franz and Cheryne Cruise each put in triple efforts to which Justin Neilson added a dou- ble, Eric Tindale and Joshua Jeffry with singles. Jamie Hamelin got the shutout. the Midland Y Keegos.
