Both Clubs were obliged, because of the strong response, to turn down willing curlers. Those who were unable to get a game very sportingly turned up to lend their support to the occasion. It was a very cheer- ful clubhouse. The ladies collaborated on the lunch, so the curlers took to the ice well prepared. To prevent competitiveness rais- ing it's ugly head (as if it would), the Midland and Penetang curlers were mixed in rinks.
