Port MCcNicoli News Library closes for exchange by Clara Powers Those of you that missed the performance by 'April and Susan" at our Com- munity Centre really miss- ed an excellent show. It was sponsored by our Library and the Ministry of Citizenship and Culture, the Outreach Ontario pro- gram. These two young ladies had something for everyone; singing, danc- ing, audience participa- tion. I even ended up being a tree. Our Library will be clos- ed on Nov. 6 and 7, for the Book Exchange. We re- open on Nov. 8, with our shelves full of over 2,000 books ready for your perusal. The First Port McNicoll Boy Scouts and Cubs would like to thank those parents who participated in last year's programs, and look forward to another year of contiued support, The Girl Guides, Brownies and Pathfinders of Port McNicoll have had a very busy start this season. The Senior Pathfinders had a weekend camping trip in Oshawa at the An- nual Venture, and _par- ticipated in rafting, canoe- ing, and rife skills. The Guides had a rainy day hike to the Wye Marsh; topped off by a hot lunch, cooked over an open fire in the pouring rain. These same Guides will be having a special Sleep-Over Party for Hallowe'en this year which promises to be a lot of fun. You really do a super job with all the little BOOKIES that haunt our Library every Wednesday morning. The C.W.L. of Sacred Heart Church will be holding another Craft Ses- sion on this Friday, from 1 until 4 p.m. Come and share your talents. Children, and their toys, are welcome. On Oct. 30 the C.W.L. Regional Meeting will be held at Stayner - St. Patrick Church - starting with 7 p.m. Mass. All members are welcome to attend. November 5 is the regular monthly meeting of the Catholic Women's League. And as part of his learn- ing and building, Odesse was recently certified by the Professional Photographers of America (PPOA) which is the North American organization concerned about photographic standards and the continuing educa- tion of photographers. '"'There's always something else to learn," Odesse said. '"When you think you've come to the end of learning it all, so- meone tries something new, and then you try to incorporate that into your stuff."
