Lorne Pinkney, of 318 Fourth Street in Midland, will take home the prize of a new boat valued at over $2,000 after Chamber officials drew his ticket number from a barrel of 13,000 others. Pinkney held lucky ticket number 18437. About $3,600 was netted by the Chamber which will be used to help offset the amount needed to com- plete Phase II of the building campaign of the Chamber building located at the foot of King St. Chamber Manager Matt Parry said, although the money raised through the boat draw is a "good healthy chunk of what was needed", the fund is still a fair distance away from the cost of completing Phase Il. "We are still looking for major contributions from companies who have not yet supported the cam- paign." Approximately $50,000 is needed for the finishing touches to accent the new building. The goal of Phase ll is to add a screened pavillion which will serve as a tourist information centre in the summer and as a storm defence in the winter, a ceremonial deck overlooking the bay, a pav- ed walkway, a lighted sign and a flagpole.
