Penetang-Midland minor ball hockey report In Atom action, Mike Dupuis Construction doubled the score on Stoneleigh Motors, 4 - 2. Chris Forget led the way for Dupuis with a pair and Gerald Desrochers and Adam Hervieux added singles. Jason Hirlehey and Peter Tumbler replied for Stoneleigh's. M. Dupuis Coldwater The Coldwater Bridge Club participated in the ACBL-Wide Senior Citizens Championships Game, held simultaneous- ly in clubs across North America, on June 24, in the Royal Canadian Legion in Coldwater. The North South win- Construction also edged R&R Sports 6 - 5, to move into sole possession of first place. R&R Sports re- bounded to post a convin- cing 4 - 1 victory over Stoneleigh Motors. R&R built up a 4 - 0 lead on a pair from Aaron Kronis and singles bv Iason Latour and Jeremy Bruhn. Stone- leigh's averted being shut- out when Howie Monague tallied. In Pee-Wee action, the Driftwood doubled the score on Beaver Lumber, 6- 3. Francois Charlebois pac- ed the Driftwood's attack firing a natural hat trick. Chris Larmand, with two goals, and an assist, provid- ed most of Beaver Lumber's offence. The Driftwood did not fare so well against Bay Phar- macy, however, as they were drubbed 7 - 3. Jeff Sauve once again notched a hat trick and Mike Besley hit twine twice for Bay Pharmacy. Larmand is a native of Penetanguishene who has also lived in Victoria Har- bour. He resides in Midland. In 1980, he attended the University of Western On- tario in London, Ontario on a UWO Entrance Scholarship. In 1981, he at- tended York University in Toronto, and was named to the Dean's Honour Roll in the Faculty of Arts and was awarded a Continuing Education Scholarship. In 1982 Larmand com- menced his legal studies at the Faculty of Law at the University of Western On- tario and graduated witha Bachelor of Laws [LL.B.] degree in June, 1985. Larmand has been ac- tively involved in sports in the community for many years. He has been a member of several suc- cessful local hockey teams, including the Midland Jr. B. Flyers, the Midland Centennials and _ the Penetang Jr. C. Kings. He worked for the law firm of Hacker, Gignac, Rice in Midland and Pene- tanguishene as a summer student while completing law school. He also served Hacker, Gignac, Rice. Larmand has joined Hacker, Gignac, Rice as a lawyer. He will be practis- ing law in both Midland and Penetanguishene. E & R Discount has now caught Stewart's Gulf in the Bantam standings by virtue of 4 - 2 and 6 - 3 vic- tories in the past two weeks. In Novice action, Shawn Marchildon's natural hat trick staked Asselin's In- surance to a 3-0 lead over Beaver Lumber and hung on to win 4 - 2. Gregoire Genier's second goal of the game for Memories Roadhouse with 13 minutes remaining, broke a 4-4 tie and they hung on to defeat Beaver Lumber. Stewart McConkey was a one man wrecking crew as he scored all four of Beaver Lumbers's goals. Asselin Insurance and Memories Roadhouse went into last week's game tied for first place and nothing was resolved as they battled to a 2 - 2 deadlock.
