Backstage that is. Once again it's time to hear from the unknown but well train- ed backstage crew of the Huronia Players. The Mumberley Inheritance by Warren Graves is the Players' final production of the 1986-86 season and it looks like it will end with a bang. The Mumberley In- heritance is directed by Stephen Hartnell. Hartnell has spent most of his stage life taking directions. This time he is giving them. Producer of the play, Cheri Ward, is learning ex- actly what the producer does behind the scenes: pro- duce good results. Carole Ward moved up the ladder from assistant stage manager to stage manager. Ward says she is enjoying the job but now realizes the amount of work inyolved in this position. The props crew is a special one this time. Most of them are Midland Secon- dary students who have graduated to assist the Players and have some fun. Scott Williamson has joined the players: straight from the Sound of Music to help obtain the props. William- son says although he is back stage he 'hopes to someday appear on stage with the Players". Duncan Lerous who is also from the Sound of Music feels that doing the props for this production gives him a_ recreational break from his hectic sports schedule. Sound person Bradley Cook is another Sound of Music grad. Cook says he feels that the Players give him the chance to get ad- justed to large drama groups before he goes off to university next year. The veteran of the crew, Richard Holt, enjoys work- ing with the younger crew members. Holt has been assisting the Players backstage since 1967. Meanwhile, Ray Holt and Cliff Warren are brighten- ing our lives from the lighting booth. And Dolly Heaseman is helping the actors to say the right thing at the right time. a\ al ins' b S Cr Hand Painted Jewellery Trinket Box mite 711 Yonge St. W., Midland 526-8523 'e) "Wms << 5 Perfume Bottle Letter Opener Set Musical Figurine Her yeu sete setting A Gite trom The Place Setting... _ you know she'll love it THE PLACE SETTING Nancy Capps will be tickl- ing the ivories for this pro- duction.
