ee BOWEN Wrestle Mania Two is coming up on Monday, April 7, 1986. This event will be held in three major cities in the USA, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Long Island N.Y. and will be seen all over the USA, Canada, and 18 other countries on closed- circuit TV. Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto will show it live on a 40 foot screen, and is already sold out of tickets. Here is schedule. At The Rosemont Horizon, in Rosemont III near Chicago, there will be a 20-man "over the top rope"' Battle Royal featuring, Ed (Too Tall) Jones from the Dallas Cowboys, Jimbo Coverts from the Chicago Bears, Bill Fralic of the Atlantic Falcons, Harvey Martin of the Dallas Cowboys, Russ Francis from the San Francisco 49ers, William The Refrigerator Perry of the Chicago Bears, The Iron Sheik, Ted Arcedi, Big John Studd, Tony (Mr. USA) Atlas, Andre The Giant, Danny Spivey, Brfan Blair, Jim Brunzell, Hillbilly Jim, King Tonga, Jim the WrestleMania 2 Neidhart, Bruno Sammartino, Leaping Lanny Poffo and Pedro Morales: Ringside Report Then from the Nassau Coliseum, Uniondale, Long Island N.Y., there will be a boxing match featuring Rowdy Roddy Piper going up against Mr. T. Then the Hawaiin sensation Ricky (The Dragon) Steamboat battles it out against Bret (The Hit Man) Hart of the Hart Foundation. Meanwhile at Maple Leaf Gardens Sunday March 23, 1986, a packed house saw Ricky (The Dragon) Steamboat defeat The Magnificent Muraco at 17:47 of their Martial Arts Match. Andre The Giant and The Junk Yard Dog won by disqualification over the team of Terry Funk, Hoss Funk, and Jimmy Hart in this special handycap match. The Hart Foundation; Jim ( The Anvil) Niedhart and Brett (The Hit Man) Hart was victorious over The Killer Bees at 15:20. The Rougeau brothers from Montreal, Raymond and Jacques won over The Moondogs at 16:10 Jake (The Snake) Roberts got the nod over George Wells at 9:43. King Tonga beat Paul Christy at 9:30. Cowboy Bob Orton defeated Leaping Lanny Poffo at 13:24 Corporal Kir- chner put away Big Mike Sharpe at 9:28. Three power play goals by Thorold led toa 4-1 first period lead in the third game of the best of seven Ontario Minor Hockey Association champio- nship final series with Midland Marlin Travel Peewees at Centennial Arena Sunday. After the dust had cleared, Thorold motored out of town with a 9-5 win, and a two games to one lead. Thorold's Brad Chapman opened up the scoring at 11:15 of the first frame, only to have minor peewee, Craig Dempsey, knot the score at 7:46. Larry Moore gave Thorold the lead at 3:57, while Owen Nolan and Chapman tallied with less than a minute left in the period for a 4-1 Thorold lead. Nolan, Thorold's captain, scored the only goal of the second stanza to increase their lead to 5-1. The visitors didn't let up any as they fired three goals in a span of 44 seconds to open the final frame. Nolan and Chapman Marlin Travellose close one each completed their hat tricks, while Jeff Yungblut notched his first of two on the game. Chris Bales, another player from the minor ranks, tallied at 9:13 with help from David Forest and Trevor Irvine. Yungblut then scored his second of the contest at 7:28 to make the score 9-2 for Thorold. Midland came back with three straight tallies within the last six minutes of the game as Gary Miller teamed up with Gary Moore and David Forest for two of the goals, and Moore accounted for the other from Forest and Chris Bales. Forest ended the game with five assists. Midland scored five of their goals on the power play, while Thorold added three with an extra attacker. The Ontario Minister of Natural Resources Vincent Kerrio is considering the licen- cing of all the province's anglers before the start of the 1987 fishing season. Ministry's Huronia District Fish and Wildlife Supervisor Alex Smith said the move would bring Ontario up to par with every other province and state in the continent. "Ontario is the only jurisdiction in North America that doesn't have an angling licence for its residents,"' said Smith. As Kerrio's proposal stands, any angler between the ages of 18 and 64 would have to purchase a $10 permit, with seniors (over 65) paying only $5. Smith said the Ministry already spends $30 million annually for fisheries management but added more money is needed for protection, maintenance and im- provement of _ the natural resource. Provincial govern- ment estimates the fees from the new licences would provide an ad- ditional $10 million a year to be used in fisheries management, enforcement of laws, rehabilitation, public education, stocking and expanded communic- ations said the super- visor. : The proposal by the ministry is presently the subject of scrutiny at a number' of public meetings the govern- ment has - organized across the province.
