The teams traded goals in the first and second periods with Pete Cote drawing first blood for Duquette's. Bruce Barron answered that one six minutes later for Stewart's. In the evening's final match, Dial-a-Movie jumped into a 2-0 first period lead but couldn't find the range from then on and went down to a 4- 2 defeat at the hands of Jug City. After a scoreless first period, Jennifer Legault, assisted by Maureen MacKinnon, put the Petras on the Hurricanes by a 3-1 scoreboard at 10:21 of the second period. At 11:15 of the third period, Janice Holmes aided by Sandy McDonald, scored to make it 2-0 for the home team. The Hurricanes pressed but were only able to score once in the third period. Holmes assisted by MacKinnon and Legault, finished the scoring in the third to make the final score 3-1 for Petras. Petras travel to Parry Sound on November 25 for their second game of the rep team season and will be in Oro on November 29 their winning ways in Penetang-Midland Ladies Hockey League by outscoring the Brule Busters 6-0. Kathy Gardiner had a great game with two goals and two assists. Gail Latour also picked up four points with a goal and three assists. Nadia Robinson dented the mesh twice and also assisted on Gardiner's goal. Sandra Valade scored once and Norma St. Amand and Rita Gravel each picked up an assist. Goalie Gail Hamelin was consistent and scorers were Karen Pilon, Karen Graham, Dale Butt and Georgina Gage, with Graham, Butt, Mo MacKinnon, Darlene Pilon and Jenny Blue picking up the assists: The second period, Graham notched two goals to Stars one by Jennifer Bumstead to hold the lead.
