ee ee ne ee Gervan Insurance Novices win three RICK erie: Midland's Gervan Insurance Novices have just come off a week that previews a bright future for these young hockey players. Starting last Wed- nesday with Elmvale, continuing on Saturday at Wasaga Beach and finishing up Sunday in Midland against Meaford, the Midland crew have shown an awesome scoring punch while holding opponents to a minimum of goals. Coach Rick Larmand is very pleased with the effort and unselfishness of his young charges. He feels that their willingness to make that extra pass combined with aggressive back- checking are the main reasons for the high goals for and low goals against. Against Elmvale last Wednesday, Midland staked the Elmvale crew to a 1-0 lead early in the first before tieing it up just before the buzzer when Pat Brooks banged home a James Boyd rebound.
