Keegos bring back medals from Base Borden meet Midland Y Keegos' Novice team competed in the Base Borden Novice Meet over the weekend. A total of 14 swimmers went to the meet which had teams from Orillia, Muskoka and Base Borden. The novice team consists of swimmers from the age of six and a half years old to 14 years old. Winners were as follows: girls 10 and under, Kyla Rollinson, one third; boys 10 and under, Lee Battrick, one second and one third; girls 11 and 12, Tanya Hall, one second and Christine Londry, two thirds; boys 11 and 12, John Edwards, two second and one third, John Brobbin; girls 13 and 14, Michele Desroches, two firsts, one second and one third, Mary-Ann Campbell, one first and one second; boys 13 and 14, Matthew Alderton, two firsts. In relay races, the boys 11 and under had a second and the girls 13 and 14 had a first. ESPSS senior basketball team wins tournament Penetang Secondary School Senior Boy's Basketball team won the Meaford Invitational Tourna- ment on Saturday in Meaford and Thorn- bury. The first game for ESPSS was an easy 69- 39 win over Owen Sound Vocational Institute. With the win they advanced into the semi- finals against Sacred Heart from Walkerton, which they beat 59-38. In the final game against Collingwood, the Penetang team squeaked by with a 55-51 score (oO win the championship. ESPSS top scorers in the tournament were Pat Dion with 56, Dave Bayfield 44, Andy Bayfield 2s Rob Gautier 19, Ken Robitaille 11, Phillip Quesnelle 10, Matt Larmand 9, Paul Morrow 8, and Terry Beausoleil.
