Fitzgerald Real Estate) says he welcomes news, several major lenders this week cut mortgage rates by a quarter of a point. Cost of owning a home will fall as a result of this week's news which saw new rates set on Monday putting a one- year mortgage at 12 percent and a five-year one at 13 percent. Commenting on the new rates posted by banks and trust com- panies earlier this week, Toole observed, "It means a number of people, as the rates go down, are qualified to purchase a home. "It also appears, in the short run at least, that rates could do down (even) lower. "As the rates come down and the economy improves"' business will remain good. = Canada's Happy-Holiday Maker SPECTACULAR JANUAR Carousel -- TT FLORIDA INC. CAR.
