Mrs. Tremblay liad 27 grandchildren and 11 preat grandchildren. Both Arthur Bonnin, her first husband, and her second husband, Royal Tremblay, predeceased her, as did her brother Arthur Lemieux and her sister Anna Valade. Collingwood Special Care Nursing Home. On July 1, 1905, she married Charles Eldon Miller in Elmvale. Violet became a private involved in his community. He was in his third term as a township councillor. He sat on the North Simcoe Sanitary Landfill Committee, and was in his fifth year as Tiny Township's ~represen- tative. He was a former chairman of the Tiny- Tay Peninsula Planning Board. Ron very Hamelin was in World War 1 and served with Battalion 159 from 1914 to 1918. She was a_ long-time member of the Flos Township Orange Lodge. Violet leaves behind two sons, Eldon of Ottawa and Herbert Duane of Collingwood, and two daughters, Nina Ometha McGinnis of Collingwood and Mary Ganton of Kingston, Ontario . Also left to mourn her passing are 18 grandchildren and approximately 40 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the James H. Lynn Funeral Home in Elmvale on Novy. 23, with Rev. Richard Whiteside of Collingwood officiating. Interment followed at Allenwood United Cemetary. instrumental in starting the Tiny Township Planning Board in the early 1960's. He was the board's first secretary, and was a chairman. He was past president of the Kettle's Beach Ratepayers AssOcia- tion. A founding member and a past president of the Club Richelieu, he served as the club's district governor. Ron Hamelin was a former member of the Midland District High School board, and of the Huronia District Hospital board. Rev. V. Laurin and Rev. W. Surviving him are his wife Corrie Hamelin of Kettle's Beach, his son Douglas and daughter- in-law Yvonne _ of Winnipeg, his daughter Suzanne Hamelin of Mississauga, his mother Elise Hamelin of Midland, his sister Lucille Dobson of Toronto, and his brothers Jean-Pierre of Midland and Gilles of Tiny Township. Two -- grandchildren, Nathalie and Nicole Hamelin, survive him. Albert Hamelin, his father, died in 1979, Nov. 17, at home at 537 First St., Port MeNicoll, after two years illness, He was 82 years Of age. The native of Vasey the son of Johnathon and Elizabeth Handy. married Ellen Jordon in Victoria harbour on Jan. 15, 1925. He has been retired for five years. The late Jesse Handy was a member of the Orange Lodge, Midland. Surviving him are his wife, and his son Morely of 780 Eighth Avenue, Port MeNicoll, also his brothers and sisters Tom of Seaforth, Ont., Louisa Brown of Orillia, and Ida Granger of Kingston, Ont. Pallbearers were Eldon Drinkle of RR 1, Midland, Over Carriere and Bernard Carriere, both of RR 1, Penetanguishene, John , Brown Jr. of Orillia, and Ray Windross and Ron Windross, both of Port MeNicoll. The former Jean Serrie died at age 84 on Noy. 19, in Huronia District Hospital. The Victoria Harbour native had been ill for one and a half years. Jerome Serrie and Sophia Serrie were her parents.
