North Simcoe news briefs $2,300 raised during tag day A total of $2,300 (in nickles, dimes, quar- ters, etc.) was collected during last week's Penetanguishene General Hospital tag day(s). Silver Cross mom has now been named Mrs. Constance Wylie, of Vancouver, British Columbia, has been chosen as The Silver Cross Mother attending The Remembrance Day Ceremony at The National War Memorial in Ottawa. During the ceremony, she will lay a wreath on behalf of Canadian Motherhood. Mrs. Wylie is 80 years of age. Mrs. Wylie's son, Lloyd, was killed in action near Pusan 0n March 7, 1951. With the Margisons we travelled the barren and lonely road across the country to Perth, we picked oranges with Jean in winter and in summer, we walked on the miles of clean, sandy beaches and went hang-gliding with Alan.
