CITIZEN BRIEFLY End of the trail this week Construction of the fitness trail running along Penetanguishene's waterfront is to be complete by the end of this week. Spaced _along the trail are 18 stops and 16 different pieces of exercise equipment, such as steps, parallel bars, and a hurdle. Signs with diagrams showing how the equipment is to be used will be added at a later date. The fitness trail is the first project of the year-old Rotary Club of Penetanguishene. The club is also behind the Great Penetanguishene Fish Hunt and Fishing Derby which starts on July 23. Mitsubishi head meets council Yutaka Takano, manager of Mitsubishi Electronics Industries Canada Inc., visited with Mayor Ron Bellisle and six other members of Penetanguishene town council, in the council chamber, last Friday afternoon. Mayor Bellisle says that during the 45 minute visit he explained to the manager of the area's newest industry that the coun- cillors were not wearing ties because the council has declared July and August to be tie-less months, Takano was given a copy of the book produced to mark the town's' centennial marked last year. He in turn gave the town a fan, a symbol of friendship, he said. He told the council that he likes Penetanguishene, and accepted an offer-of a tour at another time. 10 years and still going (very) strong Midland's Contact Information Centre will be celebrating its 10 anniversary, July 15, with an open house from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Yonge Street West Civic Centre in town.
