..the tale eCont. from Page 7 At this point I was in desperate need of power to keep the work going on the house so I got a backhoe to dig up the line and move it and I asked my electrician to move the meter. I then had to wait another week before the hook-up-was finally made. The change had cost us another four hun- dred dollars. My electrician then went to see a Mr. Mills who is the Manager of the Penetang office. Mr. Mills came to the site and on looking over the situation agreed that he could not see the need to move the line. He said that he could give the order for the hook-up to be made but thought that he would like _to talk to Mr. Leblanc first. The same afternoon word was received that the line and meter had to be moved. The purpose of this letter is to let people know of our problems in dealing with Ontario Hydro and in particular Mr. Leblanc and to hopefully help someone else avoid this unnecessary hassle to people trying their best to make ends meet in these difficult economic times. Everyone, including Mr. Leblanc, seemed to agree that it really-didn't make any sense to move" it but Mr. Leblanc said that didn't matter, it had to be moved. As usual, common sense did not prevail and as usual the average guy is the one who pays. We are left wodering--do the Barrie and Rnetang offices go by a different set of rules or do they just not communicate? Either way, why is it that we suffer for it?
