Had been well-known barber in Penetang Raymond Bellisle died suddenly on April 11, 1983, in Huronia District Hospital. The resident of 23 Simcoe Street, Penetanguishene, was 63 years of age. For 37 years Raymond Bellisle was a barber at Bellisle's Barber Shop, Penetanguishene. He was born and lived all of his life in Penetanguishene. He retired seven years ago. A member of St. Ann's Memorial Church, Penetanguishene, he was the son of Joseph Bellisle and Victoria Legault. His wife, Georgette Bellisle of Penetanguishene, his brother Maurice of Penetanguishene, and his sisters Kathleen (Bourgeois) of Victoria Harbour and Theresa (Murphy) of Midland, survive him. Fr. G. Davies, Fr. G. Vachon and Msgr. A. Belanger officiated at the funeral mass held in St. Ann's Memorial Church on April 13. Interment in St. Ann's Cemetery. . His pallbearers were Allan Bourgeois, Tom Bourgeois, Sean Murphy, Danny Murphy, Terry Murphy, and Louis Vaillancourt. Requiem mass Midland residents were shocked to learn of the death, late Saturday afternoon at Huronia District Hospital, of long-time Midland firefighter '"'Mickey"' MclIntaggart. Michael Martin John McIntaggart, _affecti- onately known as ""Mickey"' first became associated with Midland Fire Department some 15 years ago. After serving the brigade as a volunteer for three years, he later joined the full-time department a__dozen years ago. The former captain and deputy fire chief's funeral was held this morning at St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church with full fire department honours. Firefighters from across Simcoe County attended a firefighter's service in his honour earlier this week at Nicholls Funeral Home. The Canadian flag at Midland town hall was lowered out of respect of MclIntaggart's untimely death. Animal Control wants more money A request from Huronia Animal Control to Tiny Township council for a budget increase has been received by the council. The clerk- administrator has invited Huronia Animal Control to appear before council in the near future to discuss its proposal. The planning board budget was discussed at length Wednesday, and tabled for further discussion at the next budget meeting. A by-law was passed authorizing the ex- propriation of Block A, Plan 1371 of Georgian Bay Estates, on which is situated the Township of Tiny pump house. Rules and procedures revised On Wednesday, Tiny Township council worked on revisions to the rules and procedures as they apply to subdivision agreements. The council has found that the present system, which has been in effect for several years, is unworkable. Council approved and accepted the tender of Ken Truax of Waverley to supply gravel at the rate of $2 per cubic yard, delivered and applied to township roads. OPP were on the job in the best of style During the week ending April 18, Midland OPP handled a total of 77 general oc- currences. Included in their investigations were the probing of 12 thefts, 18 break-ins and four assults. Careless smoking cause of blaze, Fri. Penetanguishene Fire Fighters were called out to a residence at 17 Chatham Street to investigate a second storey blaze. The fire was found to be caused by careless smoking and was contained to a mattress by the fire fighters. No injuries were reported, and no coxi of the damage was estimated. Federation of Agriculture demonstration day The Simcoe _ County Agriculture is sponsoring a demonstration day on Wednesday, April 27, 1983 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The demonstration will take place at the North Simcoe Depot location of Len Noor- degraaf, R.R. 1, Minesing, lot 1, Con. 1 Flos township and will be under the auspices of the Ontario Farm Machinery Agency a sub- sidiary of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture. Coffee and donuts will be served courtesy of The Simcoe County Federation of Agriculture. They'll sail under separate flags... The Midland-based cruise ships Lady Midland and Miss Midland will sail under separate flags this summer. John Gostick, who formerly operated an electrical business in Honey Harbour, purchased the Lady Midland, last June, from Jack Frame. Last Friday PMCL Ltd. announced that it had purchased Frame's other ship, the Miss Midland. The ticket office on the centre town dock will be shared by the boat owners. The Miss Midland has a seating capacity of 215 passengers. The Lady Midland has a seating capacity for about 120 people. The town's harbour commission rents dock space and the ticket booth to the operators of the cruise ships. Federation of
