Mr. and Mrs. Grant Robinson, Andy and Jason were in Buffalo for the weekend to at- tend a hockey tour- nament there. Mr. and Mrs. Erich Wagner spent Friday visiting with friends in Kitchener and then spent the weekend with Marilyn Wagner of Burlington. Friday-visitors of Mr. and Mrs Frank Rumney were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rumney of Richmond Hill and Ross Rumney of Collingwood was a weekend visitor. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Russell. Meegan and Mathew of London were weekend guestgwith Mr. and Mrs. John Isaac. Sympathy of the community is extended to the family and friends of the late Mrs. Wilbert Woods who passed away on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. MeDonald of Don Toronto spent Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd McDonald. The Vasey Park Board is sponsoring a fund raising dance on April 9 at the Hunters and Anglers. Don and Lyle THE UNITED CHURCH WOMEN'S REPORT The Vasey United Church Women met in the Sunday School room on April fourteen present. Devotions were prepared by Friendship and Visiting Committee. 29th with members the Their theme was based on Good Friday, entitled "Were You There?" Martha Edwards led in devotions with Bertha Rumney and Winnie Faint reading narratives of interest pertaining to the crucifixion of Jesus, by those who witnessed this event. Several members read portions of scripture pertaining to same. Roll Call was answered by all members with your favourite Easter Hymn. The' offering was dedicated by Eleanor Edwards, this offering going to the M. & S. treasurer. Business consisted of plans for many up coming events, the Church anniversary on May 22, the walk-a-thon, work-a-thon, on May 7, a visit to St. Andrews Centennial Manor in April and Bible Vacation School in Victoria Harbour in August. A tasty lunch was served by Evelyn Irish and Judy Marchment. ADDITIONAL VASEY NEWS Mr. and Mrs. Doug Smitham, Tammy and March break visitors-- Mathew attended a homecoming Easter dinner for Mrs. Benson who returned home after a three week vacation in Australia, at the home of Barbara Barker and Rhonda of Midland. Also attending were Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Moreau and family of Wyevale, Mrs. Robin Ragot and Kim of Barrie, and Sharon Foster of Wyevale.
