A meeting held a week ago by the Rotary Club to inform other groups interested in participating in the week during the Fish Hunt, in late July, was attended by representatives of the town's chamber of commerce, the Quota Club, the French Centre, the Penetanguishene Figure Skating Club, and of the local marinas The Huronia Crafts Guild oe some other groups indicated their interest but also reported their inability to attend last week's meeting, Rotary Club co- ordination committee chairman Larry Bellisle said. The representatives of the groups present at the meeting each expressed interest and told the Rotarians they would get back to the club presently, Bellisle said. The week-long Rotary Club-sponsored and organized event will start on July 22 with a fishing derby for children. The order provides home nursing care for people who would otherwise have to go into hospital. Most of the order's expenses are recoverable from sources such as the United Way, but not all costs are recoverable. The $21.15 represents expenses incurred by the order in the township during 1982 which the order cannot recover from any other source. Province promises $40,000 to airport The majority of the cost of preparing a master plan for Huronia Airport, and of the cost of buying 37 acres of land to allow ex- tension of the airport runway, will be paid by the province. The estimated costs are $10,000 for the airport master plan, and $40,000 for the acquisition of the 37 acres of land. The Ministry of Transportation and Communications, and the Board of Industrial Leadership and Development will jointly provide $8,000 and $32,000. Report on sale of tickets Ten per cent of the tickets on the boat, motor, and trailer being raffled by the Rotary Club of Penetanguishene might be sold by this week, Rotary Club of Penetanguishene members were told last week. The boat, trailer and motor have recently been on display at the boat show at the International Centre in Toronto. Ball hockey meeting April 16 in Penetang Penetang-Midland Ball Hockey League draft will be held Sunday, April 16. The draft will be held in the Penetanguishene Arena Lounge. Club members told about fitness concept Rotary Club of Penetanguishene members last week were told of and shown slides of the fitness concept behind the fitness trail, or Vita Par Cours, which the club is sponsoring, with the town, on the Penetanguishene waterfront. Exercise stations are spaced at 18 places along the length of the two kilometre route, which will run from the town dock to near the town's nature trail. The trail will be made of crushed limestone.
