Daring snowmobiler risked life and limb This newspaper received a report on Saturday of a daring snowmobiler who crossed the thin ice from the foot of Main Street at the town dock to Champlain Road. The ice still isn't safe enough for such daring antics, The Citizen has been advised. Crime is taking a holiday in the Midland OPP's territory. Only 64 general occurrences were recorded in the seven days ending Dec. 20. But among the investigations were 14 thefts, five of which were shoplifting incidents.
