LLL ALLIED AE lhe lls Where's the ref? It's a good thing that the game bet- ween CKMP Radio Raiders and Casual Heroes wasn't decided by this off-side call, or non-call, as it were. Player in back is clearly over the blueline as unidentified skating object in the foreground crosses the line. Fred Wallace and the Raiders skated (7) to a 4-4 tie with the aptly named Casual Heroes. Real winner was the area Big Brothers Association, as proceeds went to them. Penetang juveniles humble Midland 10-0 On Saturday the home team Penetanguishene Juveniles played Midland and came out on top of a 10-0 decision. Penetanguishene played a passing game, passing Midland players at every op- portunity. Jeff LeClair led the onslaught with three goals, while Jerome Ladouceur, David Grenier, and Greg Pilon all netted a pair. John O'Hara scored once. Assists were easy to come by as Ladouceur picked up four, Carl Weber had three, Curtis Lemesurier and O'Hara got two each. LeClair, Pilon and David Lefaive assisted once each. Chris Lethbridge got the shutout anda case of terminal boredom. After tying the Shamrocks in the Sound on Friday night 5-5, Cents returned to the friendly confines of Centennial Single Rinks; only to lose to Parry Sound by 6-2. Friday, C's gave up three third-period goals, including one at the 18:29 mark, in surrendering the win to the pesky Shamrocks. Sunday Cents were never really in the game although the score was fairly close after two periods. Midland actually led for most of the opening frame, as Shawn Davy staked them to 1-0 lead at the 6:54 mark which lasted until Dave McNamara scored at the 19:18 mark for the Shamrocks. (With a name like that he should be captain of the team!) Doug Kirton scored an unassisted power- play goal at 2:01 of the second to give Midland a temporary lead. From here on in the score sheet belonged to the visitors. They tacked on three second- period goals, and two more in the third to take a soft 6-2 triumph. Captain Barron King scored twice for the Greej, while Shawn Beaumont, Roy Lovold and Kevin Barks scored singles. Friday, Cents built a 4-2 lead on goals by Doug Kirton (two), Davy, and Brian Garner. They let it slip away in the last period though, as three of six shots got by Chris Lemieux in the nets. Steve Bressette scored in third for Midland but it wasn't quite enough. Todd Jackson got two for Shamrocks, and Beaumont, McNamara, and McNamara, (Paul and Dave) tallied one each. Midland was outshot on Sunday by 42-36, but had the most on Friday night, 45-30. C-NOTES....Dwayne Latondress was the victim of Sunday's lethargic per- formance....Brian Garner is getting to be Ol' Reliable....Shawn Davy, hot at the start of the year and slightly cool since then, has shown signs of his old form lately....John Walter could play only one period on Friday night before retiring after his dental surgery earlier this week....Was Saturday the team's Christmas party?....Next game for Cents is a toughie, as they host Stayner Friday at 8:30 Rec hockey shootout A high scoring shootout highlighted the action in Penetanguishene Recreational Hockey League action on Sunday at the Penetanguishene Arena.
