a> cementite aca OHA facts and stats tell the story A"s in third spot butstill | struggling Midland Athletics are still clinging to a tie for third place in OHA Major Intermediate standings. According to statistics compiled by League convenor Debbie Brown of Barrie, the A's have been giving up too many goals, despite fine work by Craig Watson. A couple of shellackings by the league-leading Collingwood Shipbuilders did little to enhance their goals-against average or their league standing. A closer look shows that while A's have done adequate work on the powerplay, they have done poorly while shorthanded, giving up goals at a rate of almost 30 per cent. They also have had trouble winning on their own ice surface, sporting a 2-6 mark at home, while playing 500 on the road. (4-4). Here is a run down of the A's scoring stats and the league standings as released yesterday.
