yy) aq tin y : sills . ; Midland Y Keegos swim team took part in the Huronia Developmental Swim Meet in Muskoka Novy. 14 Participating teams included Muskoka Aquatie Club, Lindsay Lightning Bolts, and Orillia Channel Cats, as well as Midland. Keegos finished second to the Muskoka Aquatic Club. The team improved their in- dividual best times for the season in 40 of 80 events for a 50 per cent rating. Those im- proving their times were led by Jason Pursell with no less than five individual bests. Tim Bourrie improved upon four of his best times. Becky Whittam, Joel Magnan, and Bryan -Shouldice all bettered three of their times. This was the second swim meet for the Midland Y Keegos in the 1982-83 season, and according to coach Frank Woodley it showed good Haprovement and a good overall team effort. Next meet is an All-Star meet hosted by the Midland Y Keegos on Nov. 27 and 28. There will be approximately 70 swimmers attending from as far forth as Sudbury: In the Huronia District, the Muskoka Aquatic Club had 14 swimmers selected, and the Keegos had the second largest contingent with 9 swimmers. The meet will provide an excellent showing of some of the most talented swimmers in Ontario. Saturday they rode a third period explosion to a 7-4 victory over Midland minor peewees, and followed that with a solid 7-3 'trouncing of their nemesis from Collingwood. ~ Saturday's contest was tied at 2-2 going into the third period, when Little Lake BP erupted for five goals and cruised to the win. Collingwood has long held the upper hand over Penetnaguishene peewees, including knocking them out of last year's Silver Stick tournament in Midland.
