To start the festivities off on the right foot everyone is invited to join in "The Torch Light Parade on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. starting at the Town Dock."' Bring your flash lights and help light up King Street as we all join together and walk up King Street to Little Lake Park for the fireworks display that the Midland Parks and Recreation Committee will provide at 8:30 p.m. Walk with your friends or your Service Group and'be counted by showing your allegiance to our Midland Homecoming '82 Committee member Shirley Whittington, right, purchases the first souvenir-official program from Midland Times editor Doug Reed. Some 5,000 copies of the book were designed by The Times and One thin dollar printed by Bayweb. Bring your banners so that your group can be identified but most of all bring your flash lights to light the way. You can join in the parade anywhere on King Street but please leave your cars at home or at least off King Street during the parade. At the conclusion of the Fireworks Display everyone is cordially invited to the Civic Centre for a time of hospitality and meeting of old and new friends and registration.
