St. Mary's CWL meeting highlights by Mrs. M. Gervais September meeting for St. Mary's CWL was held on Sept. 14 beginning with Mass at 7 p.m. Everyone' then gathered at the home of the President Mrs. Mabel Despin for the Meeting Mrs. Madeline Juneau opened the meeting with prayer. Prayers were offered for the sick in St. Mary's Parish and in the Mount St. Louis Parish. Thank you notes were read from Father Doyle, the MacArthur Family, the Moreau Family, the Dault Family, the Cote Family and Mrs. Brown and Family. Convenors gave their reports--lunch was served after five funerals; since last meeting. Ladies Nite Out was well attended and en- joyed very much. St. Mary's Christmas Bazaar will be held on Wednesday Nov. 17 beginning at 7 p.m. It will be much the same as last year, but new ideas will be ap- preciated. Every member is expected to make or donate something for the Bazaar Table and also the Bake Table. Mrs. Capistrand has donated a large doll and Mrs. Anne LaChapelle a Ceramic Christmas Tree. Tickets will be sold on these items. More. Plans for the Bazaar will be discussed at the next meeting on Oct. 12. Come and bring some new ideas. The meeting closed with prayer. St. Mary's CWL would like to thank everyone who helped with the summer Bazaar in any way. It was a successful day. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Oughtred of Port Hope visited their cousin Mrs. Leslie Winfield recently. Other guests were Mrs. Jack Grigg of Stratford and Mrs. Tim Bate of Elmvale. Miss Beate dea Belleheumer and Miss Betty Pearson of Toronto visisted Mrs. Ernest. Cadeau_ last week. Mrs. and Mrs. Eugene Beaument of Omemee spent last weekend with their son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bartosik and Adam. Mrs. Florence Belcher and ' Miss Catherine MacKenzie attended the Heritage Day at Simcoe County Museum last week. Mrs. Ruby Cormier of Richards Beach Vic- toria Harbour died in a Toronto Hospital this week. Mrs. Cormier was a member of Georgian Club Senior Citizens. She is survived by her husband Mr. Joseph Cormier and family. Many of the _ local friends were in Toronto this week to- attend the funeral of their friend Mrs. Earl (Helen) Robichaud who passed away at a Toronto Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Robichaud have lived here for many years. Mrs. Robichaud will be very much missed in the village. She is survived by her husband, son Paul as well as her mother Mrs. Ed.
