| Hitting the bricks An informational] picket was staged in front of the Bell Canada office in Midland, Saturday afternoon to protest plans to cluse the local Bell office by the end of 1983. Pickets from Midland and several other centres later in the day attended a social and dance at the Athenian Hall to drum up support for their cause.
