A fez-full of fun The staff and students of the T.M.R. Wing of Huron Park School in Midland were the beneficiaries last week of a generous donation from Midland Shriners. As part of the club's orgoing work with disabled children, a new wheel chair was presented to the school to be used by those students who require assistance in getting around. This Thursday's Gala Opening Night Preview will mark the beginning of the Gryphon Theatre Guild's 10th annual Antique Show and Sale at the Armoury, Part Street, Barrie. The increasingly popular autumn event will feature 25 dealers from across Ontario, who will be displaying a wide variety of antiques ranging from fine furniture, china, silver and glass to Canadianna, folk art, quilts, rugs and clocks. Show hours are Thursday, Sept. 23 from 7-10 p.m., Friday, Sept. 24 from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 25 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m, Thursday's admission is $5; Friday and Saturday is $1.50. Tickets are available at the door and through Guild members: Other show features will include door prizes, quilt and antique chair raffles, a Country Cupboard and a lunchroom which will be serving delicious homemade food. Craig The corn roast and barbecue sponsored by the Craighurst Women's Institute on Labour Day was well attended, in spite of the threatening weather. An added bonus was a ball game between Craighurst Sinton Bus Lines' girls and Hawkestone Shelswell Excavating. The final game in the series between Craighurst and Hawkestone girls was to be played in Craighurst Park on Sunday. Your correspondent and her sister, Norene Stranaghan of Burlington, enjoyed renewing old aquain- tances of high school days at the BCI reunion held at BDCI and the Continental Inn, Sept. 10-12.
