In a memo dated July 21 to Clerk Mike-- Owen' from G. M. Morrison, deputy- treasurer and secretary to the parking authority, the P.A. advised it opposed the installation of posts. However, Monday night, by a margin of 5-4 council endorsed installing steel posts and that the costs be borne by the parking authority. which finds itself in the red after less than a year's operation. Midland councillors this week almost to the man supported a resolution Oro had forwarded to the Ministry of Education which stressed: "The Township of Oro deem it entirely inap- propriate, in light of Provincial involvement, that Simcoe County Board of Education member municipalities be obliged to pay now and in the future, for the operating costs of Ecole Secondaire Le Caron in Penetanguishene, and that other municipalities in the County of Simcoe be asked to support this resolution in writing and forward their support to the Hon. Dr. Bette Stephenson, Minister of Education and Local Member of the Provincial Legislature."' * Penetanguishene police Const.
