Lececrs Dear Editor: Barrie Huronia Rotary Club and Canadian Talent Unlimited are presenting 'An Evening of Pop Symphony Music' at Molson Park in Barrie, Sunday, Aug. 8. Captured spirit of our heritage Dear Editor: DESTINATION: STE-MARIE was an ex- perience I will treasure for my entire life. Out of all the fantastic and moving events which occurred throughout the 40-day expedition, none could match the feeling I had paddling down the Wye River on July 10, 1982. I would like to personally thank the people .of Midland, the staff of Sainte-Marie among the Hurons and especially people like Ernie and Pat Cowden from Perrin's Flower Shop who went out of their way to bring it to life. We all captured the spirit of oun heritage. Thank you. Sincerely, --Robert LeCog (Bill Byrick) Music in the air, Aug. 8 Admission to the event is free. James -Frost, pastor of Midland's Alliance Church for the past 11 years leaves Aug. 15 for Gibbons, Alt, north of Edmonton where he'll become the pastor in the only Evangelical Church in the community. Born and raised in New Brunswick, he later moved to Hamilton "and it was there that I became a Christian and later went on to Bible College." Rev. Frost who is married with five major highlights of his ministry in Midland "has been the con- struction of our new church on Yonge Street last year. "We started in August and five months later we held our first ser- vice. It was won- derful."' Rev. Frost is also credited with initiating summer drive-in church, Sunday nights, at the Zellers-Dominion Mall. A past chairman of the Midland Ministerial Association, Rev. Frost also says he has been pleased with "our relationship with the hospital." He serves as the ministerial's repres- entative on the board of HDH. The Alliance Church minister announced his future plans to his congregation last Sunday. "T think it was about time a new voice was heard in the church. However I shall miss the people very much."'
