Saturday at 11 a.m. more than 20 swimmers will swim for prizes in the Dock Lunch Challenge Swim. Those competing will have to swim from the town dock across the harbour and back to the Dock Lunch, You still have time to enter this big event. Then on Sunday at 1:30 p.m., the Dock Lunch will be hosting its famed "Hamburg Eating Contest." Last year's winner Dwight Duhamel of Toronto will be back wolfing dog 'burgs in an effort to retain his crown. Last year he swallowed 1612 hamburgers. The world's record is 211%. By the way the Dock Lunch will have its race car on hand for racing fans to marvel al. The car competes al Barrie Speedway throughout the long, hot summer months. A neat way to learn French Georgian College in Barrie is offering French Second Language courses at begin- ner, elementary, intermediate and advanced levels, starting July 12. The 42-hour courses will be held Monday through Thursday from ~ 7-10 p.m. for three-and-one half weeks. The fee is $60. Catherine Morisset, Co-ordinator of the College's French programs, says the courses will present a fresh approach which em- phasizes spoken French in daily use. Course content will include the use of audio visual material, video tapes, films, guest speakers and social events. For those who are advanced in the French language, Morisse! says, "Le cours de francais avance IV vous aidera a_per- feclionner votre francais, avec des discussions, des rencontres et des sorties."'
