Next two rounds in the 72-hole affair are slated for July 24-25. More than 80 golfers are gunning for the club title this year. Goman jumped out into an early 2-0 lead but Techform rallied to tie it 4-4 going into the sixth. Larry Langley, John Gadon and Bill Ladouceur then blasted one homer apiece for Techform in the bottom of the frame and Russ Cousineau managed to contain Goman to two in the top of the seventh to put it away. The two _ points elevated Techform into a first-place tie with Goman in the West. Each have ten wins and two losses. Defending champion Midland Golf and Country Club finished 38 strokes behind Barrie Golf and Country Club as the Finlayson Cup ladies' team com- petition wound up last Thursday in Barrie. The Cup event is an annual tour of four stops pitting leams from Midland, Barrie, Collingwood and Orillia. This year, the com- petition touched down on only three of the courses when what would have been the third leg at Midland was rained out.
