Future Unlimite by Roger Flint This banquet provided reconition to 25 Junior Achievers for their excellence and effort during this past year. Our program consists of three com- panies which are Achievers in Action (Woodsmen), JA Steelers (KIL), and JA Lifters (RCA). Each achiever has ex- perienced a realistic business .operation first hand. They also learned many aspects of human relations in order to meet the challenge of a successful business operation. Each company returned their $1 share value to each of their shareholders and two companies paid dividends as well. The most profitable company was J.A. Steelers which produced stainless stell ashtrays at Kindred Industries. They received the Company of the Year plaque as well as the Best Shareholder's Report. The achievers worked extremely well as team encouraged and counselled by Theresa Asselin, Midland Industries, Rick Brown, Run Hunt and Ron Sauve, all of Kindred Industries. Their President, Mark Lewis received a $200 sales award while the Treasurer, Charlene Davidson made the $100 sales award and achievers Alien Wright and Doug Simpson received pins for their $50 sales awards. Mark, Charlene and Connie Bastedo, also received 100 per cent attendance awards emphasizing their committment to JA and their team. Their working team certainly developed a positive attitude toward work which is one of the objectives of the JA program. JA Lifter's president, Jill Chapple and Vice President of Personnel, Kelly Norton received 100 per cent attendance awards while V.P. Marketing Dan Straiko received the $50 sales award through his sales, of bootjacks. Their advisors were Horst Janson, (Ernst Leitz) and Cosmo Salamone (Guide Excavating). Two achievers from Achievers in Action at the Woodsmen in Penetanguishene received their $50 sales award. They were Junior Achievement of Midland and Penetang Andre Moreau, V.P. of Personnel and Todd Saulnier, Secretary who also served as Master of Ceremonies at our banquet as well as filling in as valedictorian at the last minute. Todd as well as their company president Denise Preston have been achievers for four years. This company had five of their seven members receive 100 per cent attendance awards! Congratulations to Denise Preston (President), Andre Moreau, (V.P. Per- sonnel), Martin Walker (V.P. Manufac- turing), Carl Weber (V.P. Marketing), and Bruce McNee (Treasurer) who regular committment helped them manufacture two types of peg games. Advisors Herman Desroches (Woodsmen) and Ernst Leitz employees Artur Hemming, Peter Reichel and Rolf Schmid efforts were greatly appreciated. Through the sincere and enthusiastic efforts of program directors Harry Promm (Techform Products).and Eric Recalla (RCA), our program year was a you for your support. Our guest speaker, Mr. William Moss, President of Day Specialties and one of the originator of JA Midland in 1974 em- phasized the importance that business places on the JA program and its graduating achievers. He stressed that this JA experience is just a beginning and the contact that the achievers have made will be valuable in later years. J.A. board vesident, Roger Flint, presented a very special award to Mark Lewis , President of J.A. Steelers and Kelly Norton, V.P. Personnel of J.A. Lifters with alternates, Brad coghill, Secretary and Charlene Davidson, Treasurer of J.A. Steelers.
