Born in Penetang- uishene she was the daughter of the late Henry Piette and the late Catherine Boucher. Widowed at the time of her passing she was the wife of the late Stanley Joseph Nugent. Although born and raised in Penetang- uishene, the late Mrs. Marie Nugent had lived in the U.S.A. for several years although her past 20 years were spent in this area. Deceased members of her family include her parents, her husband and sisters Georgina Piette and Lillian Hare.
