The Roadrunners won the best-of-seven con- solation series in four straight games. In championship-r- ound semi-final mat- chups, Olympia Sports and Duggan Polar Kings stand only one point away from a final- series clash after they both won their Monday matchups to take 5-3 leads in their six-point series'. The Roadrunners had control of the game from the beginning on Monday, taking a 3-2 lead after the first period and boosting it to 5-2 by the end of the second. Rick Graham scored twice to lead the win- ning effort and singles were provided by Gord Paul, who scored the winner, Terry Pelletier, Bill Gray, Ken Mitchell, and John Bell. Brian Revers responded twice for the Motor Sports and singles were had by Brent Gordon and Randy Giles. Performance were handed eight minors, the Roadrunners five.
