Obituary The death occurred on Feb. 9, 1982, of Inez Leathwood, 59, in Huronia District Hospital. Mrs. Leath- wood, the former Inez McCuaig, had a SS 3, Site 3, Compartment 18, Penetanguishene, address. A funeral service in the Nicholls Funeral Home, Midland, followed on Feb. 12. Rev. F.. Cook officiated. Interment in Midland. Her husband, Bob Leathwood of Penetanguishene, his Leathwood of Toronto, survive her, as does her mother, Mrs. Annie McCuaig of Maxwell, Ont., her brother Rodney McCuaig, and her sister Marion (Mrs. Donald Macdonald). She had two grand- children. ~~ Lochiel, Ont. was her birthplace. Her parents were John Malcolm McCuaig, and Annie (Bethume) McCuaig. She attended Alexandra High School, the University of Toronto, and earned her Toronto, Exeter, Winnipeg, and Midland. She was a public health nurse with the Midland office of the Simcoe County District Health Unit for 10 years. At the time of her death she had been retired for StU= Pauls Church, Midland. five months. She Don McLean of Elm- vale, were his pallbearers. The late George Downer was born in Tiny Township, the son of John R. Downer Sr., and Harriet (Flack) Downer. On Dec. 10, Inez Leathwood was a past member of the Canadian Red Cross Society, and of the Huronia Social Planning Council. George Henry Downer 1938, in Elmvale, he married Hazel I. Bell.
