That win moved Therrien's into the semi- finals against Georgian Bay Real Estate. Against Johnny's Pizza House, Bob Lapham proved to be more than an able pitcher for Therrien's as did Butch Smitten, catcher for Therrien's, both' of those men going three for four at the plate and knocking in some insurance runs. Johnny's Pizza House should also be given a lot of credit for their play, being a new team in the league and finishing fifth overall in league play. They also knocked out some highly skilled teams in the Athenian Ball Tournament before being eliminated themselves. Morrison Chev-Olds of Midland Minor Baseball's T-ball league, won the consolation title. The Jim Morrison team won the game 22-21 in three innings of play. With some new talent signed this season, the Athletics should prove to be a competitive hockey team.
