For three days The Bayfield Mall, Barrie will have a very Special guest residing with them. On Sept. 3, 4and 5 from opening to closing, Snoopy-Duro, one of the top racing-quarter horses in Ontario will be there to collect pledges from the Ontario March of Dimes Ride-a-Thon scheduled for Saturday Sept. 19. Snoopy-Duro's owners Al and Heather Win- drim of Stayner have taken Snoopy-Duro off the racing circuit for Sept. "19 and are allowing him to make a 25 mile trip from Stayner to Barrie to help raise funds for the Ontario March of Dimes. Snoopy-Duro is a horse with a_ special relationship to the Ontario March of Dimes. A year ago Snoopy-Duro was in- fected with Tetanus, a crippling disease for a horse. It was thought that Snoopy wouldn't race again, however, with medical treatment and T.L.C. (tender loving care) from his owners, Snoopy's back on the racing circuit. The Ontario March of Dimes is a non-profit organization which helps disabled adults become as independent as their disability alah OW. s:. The organization helps them get into a normal rewarding lifestyle.
