and oe ee 4 e€e Elmvale. OPP in- vestigated a number of auto accidents this past week, several of those involving extensive damage. On Sunday at 12:30 p.m. a car driven by Kurt Johnsone of Mississauga went off the road at Whetham Side Road, east of High- way 93into the ditch and ' 2 hit a clump of trees. Johnsone suffered no injuries in that accident but there was $2,000 in damages to his vehicle. There were no in- juries reported in a two- ear accident that oc- curred Saturday on Highway 93, north of County Road 19 in Hillsdale at 1:30 p.m. The accident involved ee ee ee | Elmvale OPP busy this pa Randall Greenlaw of Hillsdale and Terrence Figueira of Toronto. A collision took place when Greenlaw was making a left hand turn. There was a total of $400 damage to Greenlaw's vehicle and $150 damage to Figueira's vehicle. Investigation of the, accident is continuing. Also Saturday, three-car. accident happened on Highway 27 at Highway 93 near ' Waverley. A vehicle driven by Edmond Duff of Walford failed to stop at a stop street and was ' struck by the vehicle driven by Francis Houston of Wyebridge. A third car parked on st wee a. the side of the road, owned by Bonner Magill -- of Erin was hit by one of the cars, following the -- initial crash. sii: There was a total of $4,500 damage to the Houston vehicle with $75 damage being done to -- the Magill vehicle. Rear left is Rev. Robert Little and rear right is Rev. Lloyd Delaney. The present Alliance Church has stood on the corner of First Street and Elizabeth Street since 1925. by F. Craig Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Sinton and Stan are taking a week's summer course at Guelph University. Sympathy of the community goes to the family of Mrs. Marie McCracken whose funeral took place at St. John's on Friday, July 10. Service was conducted by Rev. Charles Speakman, and pallbearers were grandsons Elroy Woodward, Bob Tatton, Greg Tatton, Darrin Tatton, Wayne McCracken and Alex Oades.. Mrs. McCracken is survived by daughters Iona, Mrs. Stan Woodward of Barrie; Coreen, Mrs. Lew Tatton of Craighurst; Ulva Malone of Barrie, and son, Arnold McCracken of Shanty Bay. There are also her brother, Ellis Hutchinson and sister Wilda Benham of Barrie, and sister Meda Livingston of Saskatchewan. Ann and Dick Commanduer wish to express their pleasure and thanks for the gift they received from Craighurst friends on the occasion of their marriage. They will be living in Kelowna, B.C. Ann's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Jensen attended a shower and wedding rehearsal party at the home of the groom's parents when they were in Edmonton for the wedding. David Oades is spending the summer at a Junior Forest Ranger Camp in the Marathon district of Northern Ontario. Mrs. Joy Kirton was honoured at a retirement tea on June 23 at Royal Victoria Hospital. She was presented with a gold 15 year pin and silver tray from the administration. Her fellow workers gave her a beautiful set of matching necklace, bracelet and earrings. Barb and Bud Dunsmore were pleasantly surprised on the occasion of their 25 Wedding Anniversary. They were taken to dinner by sisters and husbands, Mr. and Mrs, Larry Wood and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Clark, and arrived home to be greeted by over 40 members of family and friends. Vacation Bible School is being conducted in the Community Hall this week by Rev- Ivan Dambrowitz of Knox Presbyterian Church. Rey. and Mrs. Glenn Sim, Michael and Shannon are on holidays for the month of July. We are sorry to hear of the death of Glenn's mother in Toronto. The funeral was held on July. 7.
