The event will give merchants and residents of Elmvale the opportunity to tip their hats to visitors and patrons to the community's second annual "Hats Off' Sidewalk Sale. The program promises to be bigger and better. There will be clowns, a cheer garden, free draws, free balloons, free lemonade, free give-a-ways, lucky draws, bargains galore, entertainment, refreshments, kiddie rides and fun for the whole family. The annual event again is being sponsored by the merchants of the Elmvale Chamber of Commerce. Visitors to Elmvale will have an SIDEWALK opportunity to shake hands with Scrooge who will be in the community to do some early Christmas shopping. Chances are he'll try and convince merchants to really slash their prices during this three-day extravaganza. Last year's sidewalk sale in Elmvale went into the history books as a major (successful) event and from all reports this week's ought to be as big...or even better.
