Not only was it their final meeting for the year, but it was the first ever Cord Presentation for White Pine District. Commissioner Nora McLernon presented Amy Johnstone with her All-Round Cord. This is the second highest honour a Girl Guide can receive, the highest being The Canada Cord earned in Pathfinders. Both require a lot of hard work, usually taking three years to complete. Congratulations, Amy for completing it in only two. Amy goes on to Path- finders in Sept. along with seven other girls. This will make room for the eight Brownies that flew up to guides in May at their banquet. Mothers of the guides provided drinks for all. There was also a special treat of potato chips from Len's Service Station. The weekend of the 12th, there was a guide camp held at Camp Marygrove on Penetang Bay. This was another first for the Wyevale guides.
