YMCA reaching out again this year Midland YMCA is about to begin another Outreach Swimming Program for children in the Huronia areas. Due to the success and popularity of last year's program, they have decided to offer this activity once again. The lessons start June 29 and end August 21 and are divided into two week sessions. The children are taught swimming skills and water safety rules over this two week span. The aim is to provide a program that will ensure a safe summer for children who are by the water and to im- prove basic swimming techniques for the in- dividual. Specific pools are designated within the neighbourhoods of the Huronia communities.
