Caswell's win close game over The Pass There were two close games last week in Penetanguishene Fastball League play at McGuire Park in Penetanguishene, Caswell's winning the first one 5-4 over The Parkview wins Parkview School of Midland won the Area Three Girls Softball Championship held this past week in Penetanguishene as their girls edged out Perkinsfield 19-17 in the championship game. Perkinsfield played strong throughout the game but just fell a bit short in the final few innings. Round Robin play in the tournament saw Perkinstiela deteat Corpus Christi in the opening game 16-1 with Port MecNicoll taking the second game 13-7 over Bayview School of Midland. Victoria Harbour took the third game 7-6 over Regent Public School of Midland while Park- view School of Midland defeated Burkevale =e ¢ boro.) of Penetanguishene 18-3 in the following game. In the first game of the consolation round, Regent School downed Corpus Christi 19-3 to win the consolation championship. Leitz in action tonight Midland Leitz and Midland Indusmin soccer clubs will be in action tonight with Leitz playing the home ad- vantage at Midland Secondary School. Tennis courts open The tennis courts at Memorial Park and McGuire Park in Penetanguishene will be open this summer for use by the general public as usual with students on duty to en- sure proper use of the facilities. Memberships will be honoured this year and the cost for those are $5 for public school children, $10 for high school and university students, $15 for adults and $25 for a family. Anyone not having a membership can pay a separate fee for the use of the courts. You can buy memberships at the Municipal Offices in Penetanguishene at 10 Robert Street West. The Town of Penetanguishene Arena, Parks and Recreation Department will also be working with the County of Simcoe Recreation Department to offer two Day Camps.
