$600,000 order Another shot inarm for factory Lembo Corporation of Canada in Midland has received yet another shot in the arm with the announcement the company has received a $600,000 order to develop a coating line. Late last month it was announced the firm, located at the south end of Midland, would be building $2.5 million worth of multi-stage gravure presses for a new wall-covering plant in Sher- brooke, Que. The Midland company in recent weeks has also received two other hefty orders as well, one for $500,000 and the other for $987,000. Meanwhile, Tom Lembo president of Lembo Corporation in Midland and its sister operations in New Jersey has stated, a customer of his has shown interest in developing a factory in Ontario to initially employee 45 people. Midland, zcecrding to Lembo, is in the running, as is at least one other Ontario community. And it has been learned, the former B.F. Goodrich plant which is owned by Lembo and located next to his factory may be sold later this summer. An offer has been placed on the building and although no other details will be released until the deal is firmed up, it is understood announcement of the final transaction will be made by the end of June. Earlier this year an offer had been placed with Lembo to buy the factory and turn it into a roller skating rink-restaurant if it could meet Midland zoning regulations. Because of opposition to the plan those who intended to develop the roller skating rink opted = Cas. not to proceed.
