Charlebois Haulage . and Excavating Diggers recorded a big shutout for his team when they blanked V. Robitaille Construction 9-0. Scoring for S. Charlebois Haulage were Peter Dupuis with three goals, Mike Duval and Paul Gravelle both with a pair and George Munday and Norman Zwicker both adding singles. Another outstanding player for S. Charlebois was Peter Robillard with three assists. In the other game played Thursday, Dock Lunch Penguins and Stewart's Gulf Oilers battled to a 4-4 tie, Joe Beausoleil scoring three of the Oilers' four goals. Craig Watson added the fourth goal for that team. Scoring a pair of goals for Dock Lunch was Keith Press with Greg St. Amant and Dave Miller each getting singles. Stewart's outshot Dock Lunch 25 shots to 15 with George Monahan facing the barrage' fired by Stewart's and Paul Goodine stopping the shots fired by Dock Lunch. Paul Duval scored the lone goal for V. Robitaille Construction. Dock Lunch got, 32 shots on net while V. Robitaille Construction put 24 shots on net. S. Charlebois Haulage and Excavating Diggers were also in action Sunday as they got their second win in four days, defeating M. Forget Construction 3-1. Dan Cote, Paul Gravelle and Mike Duval all scored single markers for Ss. Charlebois with Bill -out McIntosh getting the only goal for M. Forget. Shots on net were 36 for S. Charlebois and 17 for M. Forget. Stewart's Gulf Oilers were victorious in their game Sunday with Pen- Mid Merchants, recording a 3-1 win. Dennis Pelletier, Wayne Dixon and Joe Beausoleil all netted single points in that game while Robert Quesnelle scored the only marker for Pen- Mid Merchants. Stewart's outshot Pen-Mid Merchants 30 to 18 in that game. In the final game of the day, Dupuis Groceteria Leafs overloaded the Penetang Decor Hustlers' net 8-1. Bill Ladouceur worked hard for a hat trick for Dupuis Groceteria with Ken Akerman adding a pair. winners Members of St. Theresa's High School's track and field team have been making their presence felt of late with 11 of their athletes qualifying for Regional finals in Hamilton yesterday. Prior to that, 17 of their group qualified for the GBSSA finals at York University held recently. Midland Secondary School and Ecole Secondaire Penetanguishene Secondary School only managed to qualify six athletes each for yesterday's meet, those results to appear in this newspaper Friday. ARC floor hockey team takes it all It was third time lucky for the Adult Rehabilitation Center's floor hockey team this past weekend in 'Tim- mins as they won the Special Olympics Provincial Finals. The team from ARC has been to the por- vincial level of com- petition twice before in 1978 and 1979, finishing as finalists both times. They will now travel to Ottawa July 18 where they will compete in the National Finals of the Special Olympics. In Timmins, the Midland Squad started off play with an 8-3 win over Thunder Bay but lost their second match 5-3 to Brampton in a closely-fought game. They didn't let that get them down though, coming back to defeat Mississauga 9-6, putting them in the finals against Brampton. That game was even closer than the first, Midland coming out on top 3-2 to take the championship. Outstanding players for Midland ARC were Roberto Badinetti in net, Mike McKee ~on defence and _ Steve Galbraith and Jerry Buttineau who were the top scorers in the four games. Galbraith scored 10 goals while Buttineau popped in five markers. The team will now be coached by Dave Hamilton who recently joined the staff at ARC with their regular coach Paul MacDonald helping out part-time due to workload. Bob O'Hara was also helping out with the team this year and his help in the past has been greatly appreciated. June 1 -Elmvale Angels will travel to Shear Park in Barrie for their next game in the Barrie and District Ladies Softball League to meet S.M.I.
