Electrolysis Association Seniors hold monthly meet Mrs. M. Gervais Georgian Club Senior Citizens held _ their monthly meeting on May 7 in the Recreation Hall of the Legion. It was conducted by president Frank Murphy. Minutes of the previous meeting were read by Mrs. Mary Earle and adopted as were the financial report given by Mrs. Helen Gatehouse. Mrs. Hilda Savage reported on taxi funds and spoke of trips to be taken later in the summer. Correspon- dence regarding the annual convention to be held this year in Kingston and other matters were read by Mrs. Nell Johnson and discussed. Mr. Murphy also spoke of a letter he is sending to the Provincial Commander of the Legion com- mending Mr. Bernard Leveque past president of Sunset Branch for the amount of work he has done for the local senior citizens and for promoting unity in the village., He read the letter and asked for the approval of the club before sending it. This was given as all appreciated everything Mr. Leveque had done over the years. Reports were given - social, Mrs. Despins; euchre games Mrs. Delia Murphy; Mrs. Springthorpe, for cards sent to those ill or bereaved. A report was given on tapes collected and Mrs. Dorothy Rogers spoke regarding Senior Citizens Housing and suggested those who could to attend the council meeting Mon- day evening. Mrs. Murray asked if receipts from euchre games could be turned in towards the bus expense to go to Won- derland and this was agreed to. Lunch and a social time followed. The Ladies Dart Games which have been held each Wednesday evening in the Legion Recreation Hall have been stopped for - the summer and will start again in October. At the last meeting on MApril 29 a Wine and Cheese Party was held and prizes were presented. The top six players were Judy Kaus, Suzanne Ayling, Clara Cadeau, Sharon Shannon, Cathy Irish, and Doreen Hamilton. The prize for the highest score went to Jean Strath, the highest double-out to Suzanne Ayling and Ella Murray won the prize for best sport. A "Dart" Dance will be held in the Legion Hall on May 9th after a dinner at the Bavarian House. Anyone interested in playing Darts will be welcome to join the Group in October. The Beaver Group will have a bake sale on May 30 in the Com- munity Centre.
