Unfor- tunately the write-up was misplaced and is only now appearing. Because of it's en- tertainment value, we would like to share it with you, even though hockey has come to an end of another season. by: G. Allen Bantam Championship: Aurora 7, Elmvale 6 With one minute and fifty seconds left in the last Bantam game of the Easter Tournament, in regulation time, I went to the dressing room to charge the flash in my camera and prepare to photograph the pennant presentations. Elmvale was nursing a healthy 6- 3 lead. The roars of the crowd brought the arena to life and found me scurrying back to my statistical board. I would like to share with my faithful readers what happened during Courts open for ladies Mondays Elmvale and District Tennis Club will open its courts to ladies and beginners every Monday morning in the village. , According to Katie Austin, an invitation has been extended to all ladies interested in joining tennis players on Monday mornings for informal play and in- struction. One of the intriguing things about hockey is the number of ways there are to fashion a win; the other element of mystery, well researched by the Leafs and the Bantams, is how to pull off a loss when all factors point to a win. In this last report of the year I must thank the parents and com- munity for support throughout the season. The boys of the team were extremely good to work with and when they wake up I am going to tell them so. Ernie Miller has earned the praise of all connected with the team, while Glen Bumstead provided his usmal« "effrci1e n't management of the team.
