TE Les Historical find Leon Ladouceur of Penetanguishene holds an historical artifact he found Tuesday when he was roto-tilling his uncle's garden on Robert Street in Penetanguishene. Ladouceur's uncle says the lead piece, inscribed Hudson Bay, Prime Western, Made in Canada, dates back to the 1930's and 1940's and could possibly be a monument cor- nerpiece. St. Mary's Catholic Women's League held its annual membership dinner on April 7 beginning with Mass at , 6 p.m. A pot luck dinner Victoria Harbour followed and then the monthly meeting was held. Convenors gave their reports, thank you notes and donations were received from the St. Amand Family and the Bressette Family. A thank you letter was also received from the Women's Inter-Church Council of Women for the donation received from the World Day of Prayer meeting-- ($65.15). An invitation was received from St. John's ladies to an inter-church pot luck dinner on Tuesday, June 9. OPP report the vehicle, owned by Perry Ritchie of Brooks, Alberta, had its cab gutted by the blaze, after Ritchie noticed smoke coming from under the hood and escaped. The fire took place on Flos Concession 6-7 and caused an estimated $3,000 damage. $4,000 damage A single vehicle accident on County Road 22 last Saturday resulted in $4,000 damage to a Clarksburg man's car and charges for the driver, reports Elmvale OPP. Apparently a car driven by Lester McGuire of RR 1 Clarksburg left the county road just east of the Pineridge Ski Club Road, and broke off nine guide posts before coming to rest.
